Welcome Laguna Woods RV Wheelers Website ...

The RV club was formed in 1966 as the “Leisure Wheelers” by a small group of Leisure World residents who wanted to enjoy some camping and socializing with other residents and who all enjoyed the same things.  Some were still working, but most were retired and had recreational vehicles of some type.  Some had already hung up their keys, or were just interested in the possibility of RV’ing. In 1969 a lot to park those RVs was made available, and that certainly became a great selling point with potential buyers, along with the golf and all the other amenities

With members having decades of experience and knowledge, another important focus of our club is education and support. Through articles in our newsletter, educational programs, and the experience of many members, one can learn invaluable information to assist in the RV'ing lifestyle.  Besides camping, we have a wide range of social events throughout the year with many opportunities to make new friends.

Recent Events

May 2017 - Ramona Oaks

Ten Wheeler Rigs headed up to Ramona May 21: 7 stayed 5 days, 2 stayed 4 days, 1 stayed 2 days – a nice contrast to many of our outings. In addition to arrival Heavy Appetizers, a fantastic Potluck and 4 Continental Breakfasts, we enjoyed 2 outside BARBEQUES and finished at a great local DiCarlos Restaurant. read more

April 2017 - Santee Lakes

Sixteen rigs made it out for the Santee Lakes rally last week; two couples were not members, but we’re hoping they will be soon. Our sites were already assigned so all everybody had to do was drive in and set up. Brand new member Sherry Pierce and long-time members Brad & Jackie Martin and Charles Ryan joined us for their very first rally with the Wheelers. read more
